Born in Hofheim am Taunus, Berthold Faust (1935 – 2016) was an artist more than anything else. But he was also a child of the war, an enthusiastic jazz musician, a pacifist, the son of a staunch National Socialist, an honorary ornithologist, a passionate conservationist, a graphic designer in renowned Frankfurt advertising agencies, a quick-witted copywriter, a portrait painter and an animal illustrator known throughout Germany.
His biography and family history is also a piece of the history of his home town of Hofheim am Taunus. It will be published as a book in the next few months.
